Women are the next big mega power in consumer electronics. Although women everywhere, even in the most advanced parts of the world earn about 60-75% of men’s income, women have always invested their money smartly. Demographic development in most western countries will evidently lead into the female baby-boomers living a long, active old age where constant, immediate access to communication and information will not be a luxury but a self-evident human right.
Women in developing countries who are in charge of extended families, agriculture and small businesses benefit from a mobile device that will enable them to access internet and communicate with family members abroad. Sharing information with each other on market prices, pasturage or the river’s water level will save time and energy that can be put into use elsewhere.
Creating and using mobile applications is not only useful but it can be loads of fun. Setting up mobile chat rooms, blogs, private image and video sharing sites for the girls’ golf team or book club makes life so much more enjoyable.
